One year ago, I looked at the future of work conversation and saw something missing - diverse voices bringing fresh perspectives to this crucial dialogue. Instead of just complaining about the gap, I decided to “be the change I wanted to see in the world”. And what a journey it's been!

Over these 52 weeks, we've developed something special together. I wanted to move away from the stuffy, academic tone that often surrounds workforce discussions and create something more... human. Something that could tackle serious topics with a dash of humor, break down complex trends without the corporate jargon, and make the future of work accessible to everyone.

In this era of AI-generated content explosion, I've taken on the role of your personal curator and translator - sifting through the noise to bring you the signals that matter. Each week, I've worked to digest masses of information and serve it up in a way that helps busy leaders stay informed without drowning in 💩.

After years of ghostwriting for CEOs and brands, it's been incredibly freeing to finally write in my own voice. But I won't sugarcoat it - producing this newsletter entirely solo every single week has been intense! I deliberately put "weekly" in the name to keep myself accountable (cry/laughs in ADHD), and I'm proud to say we made it through all 52 weeks together.

As we enter year two, I'm excited to announce some changes that will help this newsletter grow while maintaining its soul. I'll be opening the door to guest posts for our weekly deep dives - don't worry though, I'll be maintaining strict editorial standards. Features and guest posts can't be purchased; it has to truly provide value and insights for our community. This shift will allow me to focus more on being your curator and editor, ensuring we maintain the quality and voice you've come to expect while bringing in fresh perspectives.

To celebrate this milestone, I'm creating something special next week: a comprehensive 2024 Year in Review issue that will synthesize over 20 different 2025 trends and predictions forecasts. It's my way of helping you get ahead of what's next while supporting the costs of this newsletter to keep it running.
